    <dcterms:description><![CDATA[Steel, gold coloured, perforated with holes of varying size throughout its whole length. At the thinner holding end the holes are small c.4mm and at the flame end 9mm. It is triangular in shape with the thickness varying from 5 mcm at the handle end to 11 cm at the flame end. At the flame end and internally is a fixed unit from which the flame burned as well as a housing to attach the fuel line. Length overall 80 cm.<br />
Wooden stand for the flame. Circular wood base c. 18 cm diameter and 3 cm thick with a fixed wooden support 16 cm long 2 cm thick. In this is cut a notch which has to be lined up with a metal stud at the structures handle end. Towards the top is the 2012 logo designed by Edward Barber for the London Olympics badge inscribed &#039;london&#039; with the Olympic rings.]]></dcterms:description>

Decorative elements attached to the medal which hangs from a purple ribbon with a thin red band at right and left. At the top is a silver clasp with a small coloured heart-shaped decoration. The Hallmarks are Birmingham 1935. The medal comes in a maroon coloured presentation case.<br />
