As a result of the directive from the Government and its advisors the Emsworth Museum has not opened on 4th April 2020.
We are very sad that this has become necessary because we have worked hard over the winter to update and improve the displays in the Main Room and we were looking forward to showing them to local residents as well as visitors to Emsworth. Some of the items have not been on view previously and show a new aspect of Emsworth’s history.
In addition the displays by local groups planned for the David Rudkin Room have been postponed.
The lectures planned for 13th May and 18th June have also been cancelled. We hope to re-schedule them at a later date.
At the moment we don’t know how long this closure will last but as soon as we can re-open the door and invite you in we are ready to do so.
This website www.emsworthmuseum.org.uk will be updated from time to time.
The Museum is also open the year through for Members only on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 14.00-16.00 hrs, for research and donation enquiries, and event ticket sales. Check before travelling by emailing the above address. If you are not a member of Emsworth Maritime and Historical Trust but would like to visit on a Tuesday or Thursday afternoon please contact the Trust Secretary to make an appointment. Many Thanks
Outside the above hours the museum responds to emailed enquiries.
The Museum is open for pre-arranged group visits throughout the year.
Admission is free to all
Donations are always welcome
