Emsworth Yacht Harbour is celebrating 60 years of operation from its foundation in 1965. The marina is nestled in the east of Emsworth’s natural harbour and has played an important part of the history which has shaped Emsworth to this day.

The exhibition will show how the Yacht Harbour was constructed with the vision of the remarkable Admiral Gick who loved Emsworth and saw the potential of the site after many other industries had left. The dedication, effort and hard work of Admiral Gick created Emsworth Yacht Harbour and was run by the Admiral after his retirement for many years. Before handing the reins over to the Wakelin family who had a long-term vision to develop the site and to support many marine trades making Emsworth Yacht Harbour a one stop shop for boat owners with many services on site.

Examples of plans, drawings and photographs will showcase the development of the marina and how it has remained a unique place not just for boatowners but also the local community. We look forward to welcoming you to the exhibition in the museum from March to May.
