Talk – Women in the Law and Life of an Old Bailey Judge

Her Honour Judge Sarah Munro KC.

In 2016, Judge Sarah Munro became a Senior Circuit Judge at the Central Criminal Court (the Old Bailey) trying serious cases frequently involving murder trials.   Judge Munro will talk about her career as a lawyer for the last forty years and her work at the Old Bailey.

HHJ Sarah Munro KC.

HHJ Sarah Munro KC practised as a barrister in the southwest and became a QC in 2002 and a Judge in 2011. In 2016 she became one of only 30 Senior Circuit Judges and one of 15 at the Old Bailey. On Thursday 28 July 2022, Judge Sarah Munro QCs made UK legal history in delivering the first televised, broadcast life sentence at the Old Bailey.
