Exhibition – 100 Years of Faithful Service

May 25 @ 10:30 AM June 30 @ 4:30 PM

What was life like in Emsworth a hundred years ago ?

The “100 Years of Faithful Service” exhibition commemorates the centenary of two parishes uniting. There will also be panels displaying photographs of Emsworth in the 1920s.  Some old photographs will show remarkable similarities. Others may be of localities now unrecognisable.  Old maps will be on display too.  There will be a timeline which features mainly local events and visits of well-known personalities.

A folder of memories of baptisms and weddings will be on display.  Some of the mysterious workings of the Church of England will be revealed.

Our aim is to present a snapshot of local life a hundred years ago, reveal how it has changed and show what is happening now in our historic churches.”
