The Chichester and District Archaeology Society (CDAS) has been working on the site of the Warblington Villa complex since 2006 and has carried out excavations on four occasions in the past four years – the last time in 2014. The work has been supported by Chichester Harbour Conservancy, English Heritage (now Historic England), Havant Borough Council and Hampshire County Council.
