Print: 'Assembling a Bearing'

Digital fibre print, monochrome. 45 cm x 59 cm. Framed. This was taken at the British Timken plant in Daventry in 1957. Two workers lower the outer raceway onto the inner raceway of a large bearing. With the co-operation of his client, Broomfield was able to shoot when the night's darkness enabled him to use lighting to isolate the event.
