Description
Black tricorn hat believed to date between 1790 and 1810. This hat has deteriorated with missing material although it has more material surviving than EMHT70.2. It was sent for conservation shortly before its entry into the Trust's care and has been stitched onto a base of modern material. The original velvety material has been reinforced with a fine, black plastic mesh. The triangular bases are 40 cm in length and the height of the head cover is 13 cm.
