Alley lemonade bottles (2) These bottles were free, and it was illegal to sell them. An opener - see 17.2 for drawing - was required to open them. A cache of these bottles was stored beside the Slipper Mill Pond by the Royal Oak. When local boys wanted an alley for playing marbles they unearthed the bottle and broke it. They were 'unmentionable' . Material: glass . Condition: good
