Description
Knitted scarf (4 feet including fringes) made of nylon/silk from parachute cord of a parachute from which a landmine descended on to Orange Grove, South Street, and destroying it. Scarf made by Mrs Whittington who lived in Nile Street when mine was dropped - circa 1940.
