Description
This is very heavy and made of cast iron. It features a base of 23 cm x 28 cm and 4 cm in height but not solid. The metal thickness is 7 mm. Either side of the base and affixed to it is a stand which below its centre hole houses an adjustable lever. This is adjustable in height and at its base housing the space beneath the stand is a cast iron plate which can be screwed down onto the base. This is also 7 mm thick. Used for making facsimile copies of letters, documents etc. which were hand-written using special copying ink. Object dimensions are 30 cm x 30 cm x 35 cm.
