Description

Accessioned originally as AC907.4A, this time has no lid and is in fair condition externally but rusty internally. Its colour is cream. Summarising its benefits, Glucodin is described as being medicinal glucose for immediate available energy and nourishment. Calcium and phosphorous, i.e. protective minerals essential for healthy tissue function and vitamin D to make the minerals available to the body. The tin is 9.5 cm wide x 13 cm in height and 6 cm in depth. Contents weight 16 oz.
AC907.4B is identical as A but has a lid which is plain. Its condition may be described as well worn but with no internal rust.
AC907.4C is a tin of the same dimensions as A and B but contained Glucose with vitamin D described as being ideal for use in all conditions where an increase in sugar and calcium was required by the body and amde more assimilable with the inclusion of vitamin D. Manufactured by Savory & Moore Ltd., London, W1. This pharmacy company was founded by Thomas Paytherus in 1794.
