Description
Shaped and coloured to represent a banana with a black stubby stalk at one end and the point of the banana at the other. In the middle is the yellow of the banana body painted yellow but somewhat faded. In red letters is 'E. & J. LOVELL.' on both sides. This was hung outside Eric Lovell's fruit and vegetables shop in North Street. 62 cm in length x 10 cm at its widest point and 4 cm thick.
