Description

These manorial or court rolls recorded the activities of the manorial court containing entries relating to the rents and holdings, deaths, alienations, and successions of the customary tenants and copyholders. In the mediaeval period these were kept in roll form but in the post-mediaeval were more usually entered into volumes. This example covers the period 1835 to 1905. The book is 38 cm x 26.5 cm and covered in red-dyed leather which has deteriorated in places.
