Description

Heavy wooden mallet used to form lashings. Seizings are a type of strong stopping knot used to semi-permananetly bind two ropes together, two parts of the same rope, or a rope and another object. Since it was part of the working equipment of Pycroft's brickyard it is assumed that it was used in this way there. Material: wood . Condition: good.
